Reggae is one of the most popular music genres worldwide. Whether calling for social justice, romantic love or just having fun, reggae has a way of getting people on the dance floor while touching and uplifting their hearts. One reggae artist with excess amounts of passion and creativity is Demo Delgado.
Demo was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. He started recording at the age of 15, and had 2 songs on Jamaican radio by the time he was 18. He enjoyed a successful early career writing and touring with various reggae/dancehall artists.
He was featured on Wayne Wonder’s Atlantic Records album No Holding Back and co-wrote two of the songs. Another single he co-wrote with Wayne Wonder, “Baby I Need You” was featured in the movie SOMETHING NEW.
More recently, Demo opened for Tarrus Riley and performed in several Los Angeles venues. The award-winning music video of his single “Live and Learn” played on numerous music stations and reached #3 on the Tempo Networks chart (Tempo is the MTV of the Caribbean.) His latest work includes a dancehall /hiphop/dub fusion “My Life: Rastafari,” and his unreleased acoustic single “Give Thanks For Life.”
